Supporting Students Who Learn Differently

What would it be like to experience the classroom challenges and frustrations that a student with language-based learning disabilities faces each day?

This lively, thought-provoking, hands-on workshop provides an opportunity to experience various language-related tasks frequently encountered in the classroom.

We offer this workshop utilizing the "Experience Dyslexia" framework developed by IDA-NorCal to better understand the lives of individuals with learning differences. Equip yourself with practical and effective strategies and tools to support all types of learners while building empathy and understanding.

This interactive workshop is specifically designed for professionals in the field of education, including school teachers, staff, administrators, school psychologists, counselors, and parents of students with learning challenges.

Is ADHD just about attention or is it more? Learn about the broad impact ADHD has on our students.

This informative, interactive, and critical experience provides an opportunity for educators to gain a deeper understanding of the emotional impact of ADHD and establish reasonable expectations of students at various stages of development.

ADHD and Executive Function in the Classroom:
Defining the Self-Management System

What is ADHD? Explore this multi-faceted, brain-based disorder and how it impacts learning.

Participants will build an understanding of the neurological components of ADHD. Participants will also examine the definition of ADHD, the executive function subskills associated with the disorder, and the impact they have on students in the classroom. Strategies for support will also be explored.

LiLa System Implementation Program

Large classroom filled with students seated at long tables, some standing and talking, with blackboards and international flags hanging from the ceiling.

Bring The LiLa System to your school!

This implementation workshop aims to support teachers as they integrate the LiLa System into their curriculum. Executive function skills develop most effectively when taught within the context of a student’s learning environment. Academic Institutions will receive access to a 2-hour implementation workshop, as well as a follow-up session with the purchase of the LiLa System.

The LiLa System supports students as they plan and execute their daily academic and personal responsibilities.

Strategies for Success:
Building Your Executive Function Toolbox

Executive function skills are the building blocks for success.

This workshop focuses on specific research-based note-taking, organization, and study skills. Fill your toolbelt with strategies to implement within the learning environment to support student success.
